About Cranross Tennis Club

Cranross Tennis Club is a community club located on Albert St in the heart of Preston. The club offers memberships as well as casual court bookings through their Book-a-Court online system. The member base includes seniors, adults and junior players.

The club has 2 Classic Clay synthetic courts and 2 en tout cas courts. Members enjoy full use of the clubroom facilities including a kitchen, lounge and dining room area, television and table tennis table.

For players looking to play competitively, the club enters Juniors Teams on a Saturday morning in the Eastern Region Tennis Association competition and for Adults, the club enters Night Tennis Teams on Tuesday and Wednesday in the local Heidelberg & District Night Tennis Competition.

Junior Programs

Tennis Hot Shots

Tennis Hot Shots is tennis for kids! It’s a program designed to help every child, no matter their age or ability, jump in and start playing tennis. Tennis Hot Shots is played on smaller courts with modified equipment, including lighter racquets, lower nets and low compression balls that don’t bounce too high.

All new Hot Shot players will receive a free tennis racquet!

JUNIOR SQUADS

Junior Squads

Our Junior Squads are the next steps on your child's Tennis Journey after completing the Hot Shots Program. We offer two squads that cater for all standards: Recreational Teen Squad (social players & low-level competition) and Advanced Teen Squad (intermediate - high-level competition). The major focus of the squads is the tactical elements of the game and this is delivered through the training block model.

ADULT Programs

Adult Group Coaching

Our Adult Coaching classes are a great way to develop your game in a non-competitive environment. We cover stroke production all the way through to match play using a variety of different drills and activities. At CTC, we offer a range of classes for all standards.

Women's Group Coaching

Our Women’s Group Coaching program caters for all standards from beginner to learn the game through to competition players who may want to refine their skills. The group sizes range from 4-8 players and work on stroke production, movement and tactical play. For many women, our group coaching has been a stepping stone into social or club competition.

A Private or Semi-Private lesson is a great way to accelerate your development through personalized tuition. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who would just like to brush up on specific areas of your game, a one-on-one lesson is exactly what you need.

Holiday Programs

FD Tennis offers Holiday Programs at Cranross TC each school holiday period. Programs are offered for our Hot Shots Players aged 4 – 12 years and separate Invitational Intensive Squads are offered for our committed players aged from 8 – 18 years of age. FD Tennis also offers a range of Private and Semi-Private lessons throughout each Holiday break.

Coaching Team

The FD Tennis Coaching team is committed to making all players the best they can be. Our Tennis Australia Qualified Coaches deliver informative and engaging lessons while ensuring each lesson remains fun and enjoyable from start to finish.
